Spinach and Bacon Quiche

Ingredients
  

Crust

  • 1 store-bought pie crust (or homemade)

Filling

  • 6 large eggs
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 4 cups fresh spinach chopped
  • 6 slices bacon cooked and crumbled
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese shredded

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Roll out the pie crust and place it into a 9-inch pie dish. Trim and crimp the edges as desired.
  • In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, heavy cream, salt, and black pepper until smooth.
  • Sprinkle half of the cooked bacon evenly over the bottom of the pie crust.
  • Add the chopped spinach on top of the bacon layer.
  • Pour the egg mixture over the spinach and bacon layers.
  • Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the top, followed by the remaining crumbled bacon.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes, or until the center is set and the top is golden brown.
  • Let the quiche cool for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

You can substitute the cheddar cheese with Swiss or mozzarella if preferred. For a lighter option, use half-and-half instead of heavy cream.
